Hook & Ladder- Station 10
This blend is exceedingly popular at Cranberry Liquors. The Tillerman Red is another blend from Hook and Ladder, but Station 10 remains to be the favorite.
Here’s an excerpt from the website:
For this blend we picked grapes from our oldest Zinfandel vines and a small amount of old vine Carignane and Alicante Bouschet from the same vineyard. These were combined with our Petite Syrah to enhance the berry and spice profile of the blend. The varietals were aged separately in European and American oak for over a year before blending and bottling. Our deep magenta colored Zin blend displays earthy aromas of blackberry and pepper. With a bright, full front palate of blueberry, raspberry, and vanilla spice, this wine has good acidity in the mid palate with a nice touch of oak and tannins.
